Emergency Response
Provides the first on site response to gas escapes, pipeline damage and facility events across the network. Responders establish site control, evaluate and make safe, isolate under permit, carry out emergency repairs and relight appliances, and hand a documented site back to the customer or the maintenance crew.
What the team is accountable for
- Attend gas escape reports within the target response time
- Establish exclusion zones and site control
- Locate escapes with portable detectors and make safe
- Conduct emergency repairs and isolations under permit
- Record every response and complete the incident report

Aisha attends gas escapes and third party damage across the western region and is authorised for site control, isolation and appliance relights.

Gas Escape and Leak Survey Log
Logs every reported gas escape and every leak survey indication with priority, response times, readings and make safe actions.
HSE Incident and Hazard Register
Holds every injury, near miss, gas escape event, third party damage, environmental incident and hazard report with its investigation and corrective actions.
Permit to Work Register
Records every permit issued for work on live gas assets, from application through isolation and restoration to close out.
